Tutorial - iPhone 3G software setup for Vbuzzer

Below is a Tutorial to setup Vbuzzer in Nimbuzz (free iPhone app, no jailbreak required to call over WIFI)

Open Nimbuzz and select the following:

Phone Calls --> Cell Phone (button)
Use Your VoIP Account --> (scroll to the bottom and select) Other VoIP Account
Username: (Your Vbuzzer ID)
Password: (Your Vbuzzer Password)
Domain: vbuzzer.com
Proxy: vbuzzer.com

Dialing format:

14165551234 (remove the + that is added automatically in the dial pad on launch)



To make VOIP Vbuzzer calls over 3G/Edge (ADVANCED USERS ONLY):

You need to Jailbreak your phone first.

In Cydia, download and install VOIPOVER3G

Next:

1. Download & install DiskAid (http://www.digidna.net/diskaid/)
a) Connect iPhone to PC or Mac using USB cable and launch DiskAid
b) Click the DiskAid Folder button at the bottom left of the DiskAid application screen and select Root Folder and click OK
c) Drag the /Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/VoIPover3G.plist file to your PC or Mac

2. Double-click VoIPover3G.plist which will open the file.

3. You will likely see the following text within "VoIPover3G.plist"or something very similar:

Filter = {Bundles = ("com.Fringland.Fring", "com.apple.AppStore", "com.audiofile.Interstate", "com.apple.MobileStore");};

Append "com.nimbuzz.Nimbuzz" to the text (with a comma) which will then look like this:

Filter = {Bundles = ("com.Fringland.Fring", "com.apple.AppStore", "com.audiofile.Interstate", "com.apple.MobileStore", "com.nimbuzz.Nimbuzz");};

4. Drag-and-drop the file back onto the iPhone overwriting the old one (/Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/VoIPover3G.plist)

5. Restart your device (if this still does not work, uninstall and re-install Nimbuzz)

You don't need to jailbreak iphone to get vbuzzer to work.

Download "fring" from app store.
open fring, register and login
hit more, hit add on, SIP, other, id= your_id, password=your_password, proxy=vbuzzer.com:80
you will see a check mark besides SIP if it connected sucessfully
hit dialer, enter 14161234567, hit SIP, make sure there is no + sign infront of the phone #.

Re-read my post (first sentence especially). Jailbreaking is only posted so you can use Vbuzzer over 3G/Edge and not isolated to WIFI.

I tried by using the setting via my vbuzzer account, it works to make a call to canada +1 416 xxx xxxx number, but how to make IDD, let's say to Australia?
