Thanks for your kind offer, but I think we can solve the problem by a easier way. I was trying the unlock procedure posted here:
http://www.fatwallet.com/t/24/524641
I was stopped on step 18, system asks for a admin password. Tried many ways but can't solve the problem. My PAP2 software version: 3.1.8 (LS), may be this is a newer version, so is there any way to do it? Please instruct. Many thanks! |

Guys,
Unlocking PAP2 that has firmware (fw) 3.1.8 in it is not possible at this time. Some people are working on it. So, it is a matter of time unlocking 3.1.8. So, you can't unlock them yet; but the PAP2 that has fw 3.1.6 and/or bellow can be unlocked.
To check what fw in the PAP2, you need to press the star key 4 times and enter 150 #. Then you wil hear some numbers. If what you here is 3.1.7 or greater, you can't unlock them. At least for now. _________________ Sukru Bey, a Linksys PAP2 user and seller

OK.
I am wrong then.
Anyway... Here is a thereat that explains a good dial plan. After configuring you PAP2 with Vbuzzer, read that threat to better use advantages of your PAP2.

Do all the adapters that are for sale at retail stores have the 3.18 firmware, or just some of them?
Anyway to tell the difference?
I'm thinking of buying one from staples or compusa. |

Hi everybody
I had two problems connecting my PAP2, and I thought I'd put them up here maybe it will help somebody.
I have Linksys PAP2 firmware 3.1.3(LS)
Router Linksys, no DHCP.
I assigned a static IP, Gateway, Net Mask.
First, my ATA wouldn't connect. I couldn't get to "Registration State: Online" on the "Info" pane, until I set the "Primary DNS" field with my router address, in the "System" pane.
Second, the screenshot at the beginning of this thread was a little bit confusing for me. Initially I deleted the "dial plan" that the ATA had (I thought it had to be replaced since the field was yellow on the screenshot..) but didn't know what to type in. Eventuall I typed in my "calling plan" from my "services". Of course, when dialing, I always got a busy tone.
Anyway, after a while I realized that I should not have touched that field, and I found the string on "Line 2" settings, copy/pasted it and now I can dial out and receive phone calls!
(*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)
However, on other topic, I have Rogers Lite internet and there is a big lag when calling. I can hear the other person clearly but with a 5-8 seconds delay..
Cheers,

Rogers Lite internet - is 1.0 Mbps download and 128 Kbps upload, so even if you use regular 711 codec , which one required about 64kbps - it is enough. Try to check your connections about latency, for example "ping vbuzzer.com -t" and "tracert vbuzzer.com" . Check lost packet, and way. |

2) I just bought the adapter and have no clue what to do.
