Step1. Connect the Grandstream HT502 to an Internet connection by the followed pictures.
A. Plug an analog telephone into the PHONE1 port

B. Plug the Ethernet cable into the WAN port of the Grandstream HT502 in order to connect it to a router or an Internet connection.

C. Connect the power cord to the Grandstream HT502

Step2. Connect a PC to the Grandstream HT502 to configure by the followed steps
Connect an Ethernet cable from a PC to the LAN port of the HT502

Step3. Verify that the PC obtains a valid IP address from the Grandstream HT502
A. Make sure that the PC's Ethernet adapter is set to "Obtain an IP address automatically".
 Because HT502 provides a DHCP server and enable DHCP in the default setting, the PC can
obtain an IP address from the HT502.
B. Run "ipconfig /renew" in the DOS command mode on the PC. By this command, the PC will obtain an IP address.

From the picture, we see the PC obtains an IP address 192.168.2.100 and the default gateway is 192.168.2.1.
Then, the PC can access the Grandstream HT502 by 192.168.2.1.

Step4. Set the configuration of the Grandstream HT502.
A. Open the admin login page by entering the followed link into your web browser:
http://192.168.2.1/
B. Enter the admin password "admin" and click on the "login" button.

C. The configuration page will be displayed. Click on the "BASIC SETTINGS" tab link. Fill in those circled fields. Please do not modify other default values.

D. Click on the "ADVANCED SETTINGS" tab link. Fill in those circled fields. Please do not modify other default values.

E. Click on the "FXS PORT1" tab link. Fill in those circled fields. Please do not touch other default values.

F. Then click on the "Update" button at the bottom of the configuration page. A save page will appear.

G. Finally click on the "Reboot" button on the save page. Wait for a few seconds and the configuration will become effective.

If your Local calls are in GTA, the dial plan is
{*x+ | [2-9]11 | <=1>416[2-9]xxxxxx | <=1>647[2-9]xxxxxx | <=1>905[2-9]xxxxxx | 1[2-9]xx[2-9]xxxxxx | 011[2-9]x. | 10x.}

If your local call is 1613, you can replace "<=1>416[2-9]xxxxxx | <=1>647[2-9]xxxxxx | <=1>905[2-9]xxxxxx" with "<=1>613[2-9]xxxxxx".
{*x+ | [2-9]11 | <=1>613[2-9]xxxxxx | 1[2-9]xx[2-9]xxxxxx | 011[2-9]x. | 10x.}

The 10x. is for dialing vBuzzer internal number.

No... the dial plans are usually to save some numbers every time you dial.

You could also restrict some numbers to be dialed.

If you don't need that, the default one is more than enough.

Regards,

Please notice the IP address collision. If your upper router uses the IP address 192.168.2.1, please set your HT502 to other IP address by unplug the WAN line.

Set the IP address of HT502.
Go to the configuration page.
Go to BASIC SETTINGS.
Set "LAN DHCP base IP" to other IP address like 192.168.97.1

After modificaion, you need to access the configuration page by 192.168.97.1.

If your Internet Service Provider is BELL Canada and the Internet router is 2wire, please set a DNS server on your HT502.

I still waiting to get the grandstream ht502 paid today.
I read the explanation for setting the adapter .
On your site it is stated that your adapter is plug in and play.Do I need to make the settings you are explaning here.
I have a Belkin router.Do I need to know smth more for setup the adapter?
I checked and my router uses that 192.168.2.1 address so when I will plug my adapter in the router how can I get the settings window for the phone adapter if 192.168.2.1 is for router and not for adapter.
For me is confusing and I don't wish to make anything wrong when i get it.
So please have patience and explain what i have to do!

Hi,
I was able to speak with Wade, and he solved the issue he made the switch to the plan that I ordered and he will refund the wrong plan.
Very nice and profesional guy. If your company would have more like him I think you will get lots of clients otherwise treatingclients like before I don't know what can I say.
Merry Christmas, happy new year 2010
All my best wishes for Wade!!! :D
